About the Project and the Role:

Just for Kids Law is expanding into East London, where it will deliver youth advocacy support and legal representation to vulnerable children and young people. We have also secured a two year grant from the Trust for London for immigration legal services. Working with our Youth Advocacy, Education, Community Care and Youth Justice Lawyers, the Immigration Lawyer (solicitor or barrister) will support of caseload of immigration cases. S/he will provide children and young people with direct representation in immigration and nationality issues and casework, at first instance direct advice, hearings and tribunals, and will prepare cases for judicial review working in conjunction with Counsel. The project will benefit young people across East London and is aimed at young people who require non-asylum immigration advice.

An experienced Immigration Lawyer, the post holder will also become the organisational lead in immigration matters to other frontline staff, including Youth Advocates and other legal Staff.
